Brass Bands
Many brass bands like
to have recordings of their works, which can be sold at
concerts and on their web site, and are a very good
fundraiser.
Due to the number of
performers within a brass bands, recording at a
fixed location studio may not be the best choice due to
lack of space, cost and time on transporting members and
large equipment.
Around sounds aim is to

at an affordable price. As we are a mobile studio we can
record at any location you want. Our mobile studio uses
the latest top of the range digital pro audio equipment,
as found in most good modern recording studio.
Around sounds takes all
the pressure away from recording. We do all the running
around, and setting up. All you will need to do is turn
up and perform.
All our equipment has
been assembled with mobility in mind, so set up time is
minimum.
Around sounds can work
around the space you have, wherever you want the
recording to take place. In cases where it is not
possible to set the recording equipment up in a separate
room to the band, we can run the cables to our sound
proof van outside for better sound separation.
Whatever your needs
Around Sounds can provide a solution.
We offer hourly, daily
and weekly rates for the studio.
Our services
We offer 2 services to
brass bands, live concert recording, and recording
sessions, which take place at the bands regular
rehearsal place.
Live concerts can
provide a very warm pleasing feel to the sound of the
recording, with the ambiance of the audience, but you
only get one chance to get it right, so it is essential
to be well rehearsed.
We will arrive 1 hour
before the band, and set up all of our equipment in a
way that minimum attention is drawn, so the band can
concentrate on the performance.
We use stereo
microphones and extra mic`s for soloists, along with
ambiance microphones in the audience.
We then take the
recording away to be mixed, and usually send you a final
copy within 7 days.
Recording sessions that
take place in the brass bands usual rehearsal room have
many benefits, and are much more relaxed mainly because
everyone involved is used to the sound of the room, and
are comfortable in their familiar surroundings.
We use the same stereo
microphone technique and extra mic`s for any soloists,
and we can do, as many takes as needed until everyone
involved is happy with their performance. Again we take
the tracks away to be mixed and provide you with a
finished mix usually within 7 days.
